Whitlingham Boathouses Foundation (No 1133063) is a new community sports charity in Norwich which is giving our young people the opportunity to realise their potential in rowing and canoeing.
The As One … Campaign is currently raising £1m to build a new community training and competition centre for both rowing and canoeing in Whitlingham Country Park. This will provide state of the art facilities for sports, leisure and fitness for people of all ages and abilities from across our community.

Six wins at Boston Head for Norwich Rowing Club
Congratulations to the six Norwich Rowing Club winning crews at Boston Head of the River on Sunday who battled against winds in excess of 40mph! Unfortunately, this meant that several of small boat crews and scullers were unable to race due to the blustery conditions kicking up white water along the straight 3km course.

- men's IM3 eight
- men's IM2 quadruple scull
- women's novice eight
- women's novice coxed four A
- women's novice coxed four B
- women's novice quadruple scull

Bumper entry at Boston Head for Norwich Rowing Club on Sunday
Norwich Rowing Club is starting the new year with a bumper entry at the Boston Head of the River Race on Sunday.
Norwich crews will be racing in all 3 divisions (1000; 1215 and 1445hrs) with ages ranging from 4 boys and girls under 14 to 4 veterans over 60 entered in every boatsize from single sculls to eights.
Races will be held over a 3000m course finishing at Boston...

Carrow Cup Rowing Festival 2011
What a great day it was for the Carrow Cup Rowing Festival last Saturday - a crisp morning, flat water and clear blue skies all day! Organised by Norwich Rowing Club, we were treated to the sight of rowers ranging from aged 12 up to several in their seventies, racing over the traditional course from Pull's Ferry to the top of the New Cut (approx 4000m).

Carrow Cup races - this Saturday 10 December
The historic Carrow Cup races will take place from Pull's Ferry to the top of the New Cut on Saturday 10 December.
Organised by Norwich Rowing Club, there will be 2 main divisions starting at 1000hrs and 1215hrs. In addition, a short course for younger and less experienced rowers will start from Carrow Bridge at 0945hrs.

Congratulations on a fantastic £8,000 raised at the Auction of Promises!
Many congratulations to the team lead by Jo Fitzgerald who delivered a superb Auction of Promises last night. Over 110 lots were auctioned in just over an hour raising a fantastic £6,700 for Whitlingham Boathouses.
Added to this, ticket, raffle and bar sales brought the grand total to £8,000 raised for the boathouses project.
