The Wayland Agricultural Show is organised by the Wayland Agricultural Society CIC. The Society is run by a voluntary committee who work with lots of supporters throughout the year to organise the Wayland Agricultural Show and other fundraising events.
The 2009 Wayland Show was acclaimed, in the press and by many of those attending, as the best ever. The weather was good, possibly the largest public attendance ever . An increase in cattle, sheep and pig numbers.

Lots planned for this year's Wayland Show on August 5th 2012
Action-packed, spectacular and dangerous quad-bike stunts and jumps will be performed by ex-world champion motocross rider Jason Smyth’s ‘Adrenalin Tour’, plus the famous Meirion Owen ‘Quack Pack’ is back by popular demand to enthral us with their highly entertaining duck herding demonstrations. In addition, the show’s livestock and horse jumping competitions, gun dogs, foxhounds, beagles, vintage vehicles, the Taste of Norfolk, Lifestyle, Arts & Crafts, Fur & Feather, Horticulture and Home marquees plus the many trade displays ensure an unmissable day out. For our last show in 2011 we had lovely weather, our biggest attendance ever of over 15,000 visitors, plus wonderful livestock and equine competitions. Many thanks to all who supported the show – the sponsors, the trade stands, competitors and the public. In 2011 we were able to donate a total of £28,000 to local charities; £17,000 from the show and £11,000 which was raised at our annual dinner dance. The 2012 Annual Ball will be held on Saturday 17 March. Further details plus booking information are available on the ‘About the Society’ page. The application form for charities and clubs to apply for funds from the Wayland Agricultural Show Society is in the Charity News section. Show Champion of Champions Our unique end-of-show competition between the champion pig, horse, sheep, rabbit, cattle and fowl was won by Withersdale Empress (Limousin Heifer ) owned by D C Wharton who was presented with the Norman Sculfer Memorial silver salver and £250 kindly sponsored by East Anglian Pigs Ltd.
