- Human Resources Consultants
The giveaway is in the title Human Resources.
Although we prefer to use the term "Effective with People".
Most businesses have employees but it is surprising how many don't know how to get the best from them.
The good news is we do, and we are really good at it.
We like to think of ourselves as HR angels working diligently in the background, taking away the people management issues so businesses can focus on making their business bigger & better.
Now that sounds like a winning combination !

I was talking to an acupuncturist about how wonderful the internet is. Isn’t it amazing that you can type the words ‘Japanese hospital’ into a search engine and find the information to talk to someone about acupuncture. I won’t go into the reason why I was searching what might appear a random subject but lets just say some things are better left a mystery.

Whilst sat waiting in a DR’s surgery (keep reading it gets better) the two receptionists are singing Bibbidy Bobbidy Boo from the Disney film Cinderella and are trying to remember the rest of the song words.
What a refreshing change that in this economic climate some people are still enjoying being at work and having some fun! The frivolity stops when a new patient comes in and they...

Did you know that a prospective employer makes up their mind whether to progress your job application within the first 10 seconds of looking at your CV?
So to put it another way by the time Usain Bolt completes the 100m sprint in this Summer's Olympic Games you have about the same amount of time to get yourself noticed and invited to an interview.
So what have you done to make...

Yesterday was pretty hectic with lots of challenges but also great successes. I am a firm believer that life is what you make of it and when opportunities arise you should grab them. Let me give you an example.
I was invited to a business event taking place in Melton Mowbray and no it didn't involve pork pies. The main purpose was to help provide information to budding entrepreneurs on...

Once Upon A Time there lived Eric. A loyal, hardworking employee who prided himself on his commitment to the Company he worked for and his impeccable employment record. He firmly believed he had a job for life and that his employer would stick by him through thick and thin. Then one day he was faced with a situation he never thought possible. The Company Eric worked for announced they were...

I spent Easter catching up with family and friends. It was lovely. Every year I have the responsibility of organising a Easter egg hunt for children of said family and friends. Being the true competitive girl I am I always strive to make the event better than the previous year so it takes time and preparation to put it together and to make it as enjoyable and exciting as possible for the kids...

Yesterday I delivered a presentation at a networking group on Absence Management. My purpose was to share my thoughts on the area and provide some helpful advice on how businesses should tackle the issue. Therefore I thought you might also find it helpful if I gave you some advice and help in this area.
To begin with you might find it worrying to discover that in 2011 the CBI reported that...

The life of a business owner can be challenging. You are responsible for just about everything. Someone once said to me when I set up my HR consultancy ‘the good news is you are your own boss. The bad news is you are your own boss’! How true that is.
You see when it boils down to the real reason you set-up in business I am sure one of the ambitions would have been to be successful, make a better life for you and your family and perhaps one day have financial freedom i.e. no mortgage or worries about where the next buck is coming from.
So a quick question what do you do on a daily basis to achieve your goals and dreams? One of the key ways to achieve success is by being ultra focussed on the things that make you and your business profitable. In my business it is about prioritising my marketing, ensuring my existing clients are delighted with the service I provide and winning new clients by showing them how I can free up their time to focus on what is important to them.
This cannot be achieved without having support and help to free my time up to do this. Delegating everyday activities, through outsourcing is a big breakthrough in enabling business owners to focus on growing their business.
That is why I urge you not to keep doing things the hard way by managing all of your people based activities on your own. Ask for help and get the right level of support for you and your business. Free up your time and focus on being even more successful.
You might have a situation where unauthorised absence is becoming a problem and you don’t know how to tackle it. A female employee may have informed you she is pregnant and your head goes into a spin. You could be introducing a performance appraisal process into your business for the first time or your existing one isn’t effective and you could do with some guidance.
Whatever your situation or requirements when it comes to managing people we are your winning team and we will get your people management activities running like clockwork. Leaving you to focus on your main priority your business and your customers.
Contact us today for a no obligation chat and find out how we can help you achieve your dreams.
We look forward to hearing from you.
