Most businesses have employees but it is surprising how many don't know how to get the best from them.
The good news is we do, and we are really good at it.
We like to think of ourselves as HR angels working diligently in the background, taking away the people management issues so businesses can focus on making their business bigger & better.
Now that sounds like a winning combination !

Are You At The Top Of Your Game?
I was talking to an acupuncturist about how wonderful the internet is. Isn’t it amazing that you can type the words ‘Japanese hospital’ into a search engine and find the information to talk to someone about acupuncture. I won’t go into the reason why I was searching what might appear a random subject but lets just say some things are better left a mystery.
Anyway I digress, the lady I found the details for spoke about the different techniques she has been taught and why learning is important to her in her particular field of medicine.
Learning is key and inspires this lady to be at the top of her game. You may assume that once you are qualified in your profession and you have your own client base that the need for additional learning isn’t necessary. In this situation you would probably coast for a while but if you wanted to be the best in your field then learning is key.
How often have you heard statements such as ‘I don’t need to go on training courses I am good at what I do?’ Yes people may be good at what they do but they could be better. We all could be better and develop further. None of us should ever stop learning.
Learning gives you the opportunity to look at things with fresh eyes. This can save a company money, improve efficiencies and lead to greater job satisfaction. Why? Because employees will learn how to stretch themselves and improve their skill set. All of this is great for business.
This all has a positive effect on people in terms of confidence, ability, the pride people take in their jobs and a renewed passion to progress careers. All of these outcomes are a result of embracing learning.
So I say bring on learning. It isn’t just for kids or confined to schools, colleges and universities. Besides why should kids get to have all the fun!
