I'm H A P P Y, I know I am..... How do I know that? Well I feel motivated and full of energy, almost like I have an inner buzz, yet I feel calm and unworried.... There has been a lot of research into what makes people happy, although we can often attach our happiness to getting things or having people around us that we love and behave in a way that pleases us, true lasting happiness comes from within. For sooner or later we can't control circumstances and people outside of ourselves to keep doing what we want them too. So how do I generate the happy feeling? I'm kind to myself, I'm light hearted when I make an error or am unable to finish something, I'm aware of how I feel, as our emotions are a great indicator of if we are happy or not. I try to get enough sleep and give myself time to rest and experience pleasurable pursuits. I eat well and yet follow the old fashioned premise 'A little of what you fancy does you good' If I have a lot of work and chores to do, I balance these with some 'treats' thus keeping the balance in my life. I follow the Holistic approach, as I believe if I get a pain or a symptom, it is because there is an imbalance or dis-ease of the body. To identify this I listen to the messages, the thoughts I'm sending to myself as well as monitoring my emotions, which are an indicator of whether my Spirit is happy. I spend some quiet time everyday, even if this is when I'm in my car. Even If the day hasn't gone to plan I'll find something positive to focus on as I drift of to sleep. I have regular Healing, as this is a way of restoring my equilibrium as well as giving to myself. So a good way to check if you are in a happy place, is to look in the mirror, when we're happy we automatically smile, when we feel good we can't help but exude that good feeling energy and notice when you don't, and know you can do something about it! This Friday we'll be looking at the the Healer within as well as discussing the healing properties of herbs and of course how to get Happy! So it really is as easy as ABC....
