Report: Fabcom's first meeting for Fakenham businesses
Our first Fabcom meeting went very well. Our thanks go to Fabcom member Lisa Smerdon (Sweets’n'Things) at Fakenham Community Centre for organizing the venue and opening the bar for us – it was nice to be able to get some refreshment before the meeting started!
We began with an introduction, aimed at explaining what we’re about (and not about) and describing the...

Reminder – Fabcom Meeting on Tues 24th
The first Fabcom meeting will be held on Tuesday 24th April at 7pm in the bar area of Fakenham Community Centre, Oak Street. If you run a business in the Fakenham area, make sure you leave that time free!
The evening will be as informal as possible, with a few minutes listening to us (Keith Osborn and Steve Hall) explain our ideas and aims and the rest of the time opened up to questions, opinions and a general swapping of information. It will be an open meeting, although we’ll also be sending out direct invitations to businesses who’ve previously expressed an interest in Fabcom as well as members of local groups like the Town Council, Chamber of Trade and Kick Start Fakenham.
We’ll have questionnaires for you to fill in (the joint Business Register form by Fabcom and the Town Council) and you’ll be able to sign up on the spot for Fabcom membership if you haven’t already done so. We’ll also have membership cards available so you can take advantage of our Member Discount Scheme via your fellow Fabcom businesses.
The Community Centre bar will be open, so you’ll be able to enjoy a glass or two of something and chat with everybody – it could be a good time to introduce yourself to others and who knows – maybe pick up the odd spot of business into the bargain!
This meeting is important for all local businesses – please tell your contacts about it. We hope to see you there.
