What is the difference between the card rates??
When using any credit / debit card facility, you will be paying rates for each transaction. I have seen a number of merchants during my time at Cardsave who are not sure what rates they are paying and of course, what the 'hidden' fees are for.
Basically, for any DEBIT CARD transaction, you will be paying a set fee. The money is guaranteed to you as it is 'real cash'. This cost is the lower one and will be a number of pence per transaction. This will not change irrespective of the total amount. If you are paying a % on your debit card....CALL ME ASAP!!
With the CREDIT CARD transaction, you will be paying a % for every transaction you complete. Depending on the total amount, this will fluctuate.
Hidden fees are things liked AUTHORISATION FEES or PCI FEES.....we do not charge these.
Finally, if you currently have either a terminal or eCommerce and your rates are above 2%, they are HIGH and Cardsave will certainly be able to save you money.
For those of you who are looking at taking cards, don't worry because your rates will still be below the 2% fee.
