Locksmith in Norwich Links with National Lock Manufacture
If you have a UPVC door you must read this article.
If you have a UPVC door or a composite door, the type fitted to new build houses, you may be vulnerable to this type of attack. The cylinder is attacked (snapped) at a weak point and then the locking mechanism is exposed and easily defeated using a screw driver. The whole...

Ban the Bump Key Campaign
The Ban the Bump Key campaign aims to outlaw the sale of specialist locksmith equipment to the general public. The belief is that tools capable of opening doors to our homes and businesses should only be available to recognised locksmiths and security professionals.
Why?
Over 4 million websites mention lock bumping, a technique which can be used to open the cylinder locks found on...

A Day in the Life of a Warrant Locksmith
A significant part of our business is dedicated to warrant work. This is where a utility company has applied to a court of law to have a warrant officer gain access to a business or private residence due to persistant non-payment of bills or refusal to have the meter read. The warrant officer will attend initially but if he cannot make any progress a locksmith is booked to attend with the warrant...

I Love Being a Locksmith in Norwich!
There is nothing better than driving back from the Norfolk coastline after completing a wonderful safe opening, you feel on top of the world, alright it may only have been an Europa grade 2 safe but it is still a buzz being one of the few locksmiths in Norwich who can open these safes. The customer had lost their keys and needed to retrieve their passports ready for an upcoming trip and they were pleased with our prompt service and clean opening.
Anyway on to the next job, back to Norwich, to open a PVCu door. The customer has the key but the handle will not move after they have unlocked it. I know the estate and know the locks that the builder has fitted. It suffers from a common problem after the buildings have settled as the locking mechanism doesn't lign up with the frame and eventually this causes the rack and pinion inside the gearbox to break. I will end up having to change the gearbox for new. Once that is done I realign the door in the frame, adjust the striker plates to make sure there is no pressure on the locking mechanism, as every good locksmith in Norwich would. Hopefully another satisfied customer. It's fun being a Locksmith in Norwich!
