Broadland Council Sports and Leisure

Sportivate is a nationwide campaign that aims to provide new sporting opportunities for teenagers and young adults to receive coached or led sessions.  As part of the Sportivate programme Broadland Council are offering courses in Golf, Badminton, Spinning and Tenpin Bowling for those aged 18 – 25 years old.  Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.

Sportivate Golf

Where             Sprowston Manor,Wroxham Road,NorwichNR7 8RP

When              6:30pm – 7:30pm, Monday 13th, 20thand 27thFeb, 5th, 12thand 19thMarch.

Cost                Only £10 for 6 hourly sessions (normally £50)

Learn the full fundamental set-up, full swing analysis, use of the irons and the woods.  All equipment will be provided.

Sportivate Badminton

Where            HellesdonHigh School,Middletons Lane, Hellesdon,Norwich,NR6 5SB

When              8:00pm – 9:00pm, Wednesdays 18thand 25thJan, 1st, 8th, 15thand 22ndFeb.

Cost                Only £10 for 6 hourly sessions

Why not come along to our beginners badminton session; learn about the basics of badminton or improve your game, with an experienced badminton coach.

Sportivate Spinning

Where             Oasis Sports and Leisure Centre,Pound Lane,Thorpe StAndrew,NR7 0UB

When              7:00pm – 7:45pm, Mondays, 16th, 23rdand 30thJan, 6th, 13thand 20thFeb

Cost                £10 for 6 sessions (normally £27)

Spinning is one the best ways to get into shape. This indoor cycling class will improve your stamina and burn fat like nothing else. Ride your way over a series of hills and sprints accompanied by an inspiring sound track and motivating instructor.

Sportivate Tenpin Bowling

Where             NAMCO Funscape,10 Barnard Road, Bowthorpe,Norwich, NR5 9LB

When              6:30pm-8:00pm, Thursdays 19thand 26thJanuary, 2ndand 9thFebruary

Cost                £10 for 4 sessions.

Learn the basic four step approach, basic swing technique, targeting, how to score and lane etiquette whilst taking part in 3 coached games each session.
